Day Twelve
I am about 20 minutes away from breaking my daily blog ritual and hence this post will be a rush (maybe I’ll sneak in a tweak here and there tomorrow before anyone has noticed).
Tomorrow marks the official day that I’m unemployed. I have been told that its not unemployment if you weren’t planning on getting a new job anyway. (According to economists it is unemployment, just a selective kind, but I’m not going to argue. I’m not a fan of economists anyway). Many have asked what I plan to do with this free time. The only answer I have is: COLOUR IN. Not only does it involve actual crayons and paper with my 5 year old mimic, but also, I feel it’s time for more change. It’s time to wipe the dull shades of grey from my eyes and open up to a new world. We try to see everything as black and white to identify who we are and what we want from life. We mark uncertain bits as grey and just never seem to attack that head on.
Well I say, enough. Let’s take the pastel colours from our younger generation and scribble all over our passionless lives and introduce some form of fun. Let’s ensure that our every step illuminates the path we’re on. Let’s just brighten up the world we live in, little by little, and leave our uninteresting lives behind.
